Landscape Design, Installation, and Maintenance Services

J.B. Kline Design Services is dedicated to helping you realize your landscaping dreams. Our goal is to create for you an outdoor space that is not only beautiful, but also highly functional. Every detail is taken into account - from your favorite colors, to your personal style, to your level of commitment to plant care. We look at the whole picture when designing your space such as views that need screening or those that need focus, slopes that require special consideration, privacy needs, sun/shade requirements, drainage issues, wind direction, or simply enhanced spaces for entertaining.

No job is too big or too small. We can help update your front entrance or we can design a landscape that incorporates hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, decks, pools, and gazebos. Our level of service is in direct response to your wishes. Design Process

Initial Consultation - No Charge
We will schedule an initial consultation with you to discuss your landscape ideas, problems, and preferences. This meeting will give you a chance to meet us and allow us to explain the design process and how we work. If you'd like us to continue we will schedule a Site Analysis.

Site Analysis $150.00
At this time we will conduct a thorough inventory of features on the property including any structures, existing trees and shrubs, utilities, HVAC units, and specific lot topography (significant hills and slopes). Views of neighboring homes and/or adjoining lots will be recorded and considered. Wind direction, sun/shade, and cool or warm microclimates will be noted. Extensive site measurements as well as photographs will be taken. This analysis typically takes several hours. The client is not required to be present at this time. A cost estimate for the design will be determined based upon the size of the site and the scope of the work. A Design Services Contract will be provided that can be signed and returned at this time or mailed in at the client's convenience. A 50% deposit for the design only, is required at this time.

Design Presentation
The Design Plan will show the name, quantity, and location of all proposed plantings. Landscape elements will be included. The cost estimate for the entire installation will be provided. The client will receive one copy of the Design Plan. The balance of the design fee is due at this time.

Any changes made to the Design Plan after this point will be billed at the rate of $50 per hour. If the scope of the work should change during the course of the project, cost adjustments will be presented and work will proceed only after Client authorization.

Warranty
We guarantee our work. All trees, shrubs, and ground covers have a 100% replacement guarantee for one year from the date of installation.
