Who We Are

We are a dedicated team of landscape professionals.

It all started with just one lawnmower and a Volkswagen Bug; J.B. Kline started his very own lawn maintenance and landscaping company. Over the next few years J.B. Kline Landscaping developed a large customer base along with an impeccable reputation for quality work, projects completed on time and at a reasonable price – principles that the company is still run by today.

The company continued to grow and in doing so began to acquire larger equipment and hired knowledgeable landscape designers, construction professionals, horticulturists, and customer service representatives along the way. After serving the Maryland and Washington DC Metropolitan area for more than 32 years, J.B. Kline handed the business over to his son and long-time landscape professional, Brian Kline.

Brian’s primary focus is maintaining customer relationships while integrating the company’s family values at JB Kline Landscaping. Brian has been instrumental in guiding his co-workers to always follow the company’s core values. His experience and dedication to outside peer groups in other industries has enabled him to bring a unique perspective to the management and strategic planning for the future of JB Kline. Brian has been with the company since 1998, and took the reins of the family company from his father in 2004.

BRIAN KLINE

Karin is responsible for handling all aspects of the Accounting Department which include A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger and providing monthly financial statements to all managers within the company. Karin holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Business Administration from DuBois Business College and is also QuickBooks Certified through Montgomery College. She has worked with JB Kline for more than 20 years and has a vast knowledge of the green industry. She also holds a Contractor’s License through the State of Maryland.

KARIN JOHNSON

Nathan is responsible for estimating, negotiating, budgeting and management of commercial installation projects. Nathan joined the company in 2015 bringing technical expertise and a strong project management background to the landscape construction division. Nathan graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park and currently holds his Maryland EIT certificate. Prior to JB Kline Nathan gained several years of construction industry experience while employed at a local MEP engineering firm as a project manager and commissioning agent. He is certified as a LEED Green Associate and has managed various LEED and non-LEED projects throughout Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia. Nathan is also ICPI certified in interlocking paver installation.

NATHAN IAGER

Luke Alexander works with General Contractors and Architects to budget commercial projects, and foster new business for the JB Kline's construction division. Luke knows that detailed, highly-accurate assessments are the foundation to developing great projects and relationships. It’s his ability to “build outside the box” that makes the difference in a client’s budget.

 

Luke brings more than 10 years of experience in the landscape construction industry at the regional and national levels to JB Kline. He is currently studying for his LEED AP B+C accreditation, and holds a B.S. in Plant Science from the University of Maryland.

Estimator - Construction Division

Liz is responsible for management of commercial installation projects. She brings excellent time management, organizational skills, and a detail-oriented approach to the team. Coming from a diverse background in both field and management roles across multiple industries, she uses a dynamic approach to tackle new challenges.
 
Liz holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Drexel University, and is working towards a Maryland Certified Professional Horticulturist certificate.

Vicktor oversees all commercial landscape installations. His responsibilities include logistical planning, personnel development and quality control. He joined JB Kline in early 2019 and brings over 15 years of construction experience to the team. Vicktor holds numerous safety and operational certifications including First Aid, CPR, OSHA and Rigging. 

Superintendent - Construction Division

VICKTOR CHRUZ

Jason is responsible for operations, sales management and budgeting for the division. He oversees the day-to-day operations for the division. He has more than 17 years experience in the green industry and joined the JB Kline team in February of 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting from The Pennsylvania State University.

Tyler oversees all maintenance contracts. His responsibilities include logistical planning, personnel development and quality control. He joined JB Kline in late 2018 and brings a strong production management background to the team.  Tyler also holds a Degree in Landscape Management from the University of Maryland.
